Thanksgiving is that time when we reflect on those things that we are most thankful for. Honestly though, I do that year round. I have an amazing supportive family, beautiful healthy children and an incredibly rewarding difference making profession.
When I think professionally speaking of the things I am thankful for it always goes to the relationships that I have developed with young athletes, coaches, parents, athletic directors and other adults in the fitness and the sports world.
It is such a neat thing to watch these kids grow up. I love helping them find success, stay healthy, compete and even develop a healthy future lifestyle.
I have always felt like it’s never about me and it’s all about the previously mentioned. I am thankful to be that guide that helps young athletes perform at a high level, minimize their risk for injury and develop healthy habits. I am also thankful to help my adult clients work on the struggle that is health and fitness being their to guide, motivate and educate them.
So as you reflect on what you are thankful for I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and just know I am thankful to have been and to be a small part of your life.
