- Reaction Time
At Absolute Fitness & Sports Performance our training systems are designed to develop and maximize those attributes within each athlete regardless of their sport or age. Sports performance skills are developed over time and not over night. We focus on truly building these skills in a systematic approach that ensures actual long term skill development.
We divide our athletes into two classifications;
PRO LEVEL – This level is for youth athletes and youth fitness participants between the ages of 9 – 13. The focus with this group is development of multi-directional movement ability, foundational strength development including technique, joint mobility, joint stability, and increased coordination, balance, and reaction time.
ELITE LEVEL – This level is for youth athletes and youth fitness participants between the ages of 14 – 18+. The focus at this level is the development of optimal multi-directional movement ability maximizing speed, agility, quickness, and reaction time. Along with total strength development emphasizing technique, joint stability, and joint mobility while developing maximal power, strength, and muscle development.
TOTAL ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT – The ability to perform multi-directional movement is the key to athletic success in almost every sport. Athletes rely on the ability to change direction quickly with little wasted time or motion. This ability is critical for both offensive and defensive players in all sports.
Our training programs develop and optimize the neurological and musculoskeletal response that occur within the body as multi directional movement takes place.
Years ago it was believed that you either were or were not athletic. We now know that with proper training all aspects of athletic ability can be enhanced.
In addition to athleticism, strength is a key component to success. The strongest players win the majority of one to one battles. With that in mind we have developed strength programs specifically designed for athletes focusing on stability, explosiveness, power, and functional strength.
